The Role:
Global Ecosystem Sales is one of the core growth engines for Block Inc's Afterpay, Cash App and Square businesses. We are building the future of fintech advertising through our Commerce Media Network, Ads, & Affiliates payments businesses.
We are looking for an accomplished sales professional with Commerce Media Networks, and Advertising to join our Australia / New Zealand business. You will help build and run the merchant sales approach which will transform our approach to advertising across the Afterpay Media Network . The ideal candidate has experience in Media Network /Affiliate Marketing / Media Sales, Partnership Building, Cross-Functional engagement, and partnering with cross-functional sales teams. You'll report into the VP, Advertising Ecosystem ANZ and partner closely with our programmatic partnerships team and other ads businesses / merchant relationship managers in the region.
You will help establish the processes to support the ANZ sales business, along with driving sales to lead our growth in the ANZ market. You will have a great deal of collaboration and partnership with global sales, account management, and marketing teams. We require a high level of ownership, creativity and a desire to meet complex, changing requirements.
You Will:
  • Bring a strategic, results-driven mindset to revenue growth and opportunity development across our Afterpay Media Network ecosystem.
  • Build and execute strategic relationship plans with merchants in collaboration with the broader Buy Now Pay Later sales team, ensuring long-term success through proactive issue resolution and high-touch account management.
  • Own revenue targets by identifying growth opportunities, expanding merchant investment, and forecasting performance with precision.
  • Be accountable for KPIs such as revenue attainment, client retention, NPS, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Bring deep expertise in omnichannel programmatic advertising - including Connected TV, social, audio, display, video, native, dynamic creative, personalization, and programmatic out-of-home - to help merchants design and deliver full-funnel, data-led media strategies.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and evangelist for Afterpay Media Network, enabling both clients and internal teams through education, training, and insight sharing.
  • Lead innovation and evolution of Afterpay Media Network's offerings by developing solutions to address industry challenges.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify campaign up-weight opportunities and propose channel diversification strategies, proactively pitching these solutions to merchants in partnership with the Buy Now Pay Later relationship managers
  • Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to identify opportunities, address challenges, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Mentor and support sales and account team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in media, ad tech, or martech - ideally in a client-facing commercial or strategy role.
  • Familiarity with Buy Now Pay Later, e-commerce, or retail media networks (referred but not required).
  • Experience in programmatic media planning, digital sales, or account management with a strong understanding of omnichannel campaign execution.
  • Demonstrated success hitting revenue targets and growing investment within enterprise or brand direct accounts.
  • Experience working with media agencies. This is nice to have but not a deal breaker.
  • The ability to build relationships within multiple vertical/industries
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or equivalent years of experience.

  • The full Google suite, with high level confidence in Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides.
  • Multiple AI based platforms from ChatGPT, Anthropic, Gemini all the way to our own Block Inc. built open source framework Codename Goose built by Block Inc, for Block Inc.
  • Airtable and Salesforce for sales pipeline management.
