The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.
Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.
The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to help accelerate our growth across the Holding Company agency market. This is a role for someone with strong commercial instincts, deep relationships, and a genuine curiosity for how technology can transform media buying. You’ll drive new business, deepen existing partnerships, and become a trusted advisor to agency leaders, investment leads, and trading specialists. You’ll thrive on variety - every conversation, client, and product update brings something new to learn.

What you'll do

  • Drive growth across a Holding Company agency portfolio, owning strategic client accounts while identifying and closing new opportunities.
  • Engage senior agency stakeholders - from agency leads to investment and trading leaders - with confidence and commercial credibility.
  • Consultatively sell The Trade Desk’s platform, data solutions, and measurement capabilities, translating technical advantages into business outcomes.
  • Craft and execute joint business plans (JBPs) to scale spend, diversify channels (CTV, DOOH, Audio, Retail Media), and drive measurable success.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Account Management, Trading, Data Partnerships, and Inventory teams to deliver exceptional service and results.
  • Stay ahead of change - our industry evolves fast and with it, our tech. You’ll continuously upskill across new tools, products, and integrations, bringing that knowledge to clients and peers.
  • Represent The Trade Desk both professionally and socially across the Holding Company agency network and broader Sydney media community. Attend holding company, agency-specific, and industry wide events.
  • Challenge convention: bring your own style and ideas to how we engage, pitch, and grow - helping us rethink legacy approaches and make them even better.

Who You Are

  • 6 - 8 years’ experience in digital media or programmatic sales, ideally within the agency holding company landscape.
  • Proven success building and closing relationships with agency leaders, decision-makers, and trading teams.
  • A strong communicator who can hold strategic, senior-level conversations with confidence and empathy.
  • Hungry to learn - open to new tech, evolving tools, and The Trade Desk’s dynamic product ecosystem.
  • Socially confident and relationship-driven: you value client connection, not just contracts.
  • A natural collaborator who enjoys partnering with internal teams to deliver seamless results.
  • Proactive, commercially driven, and confident navigating a broader stakeholder network - someone who can find opportunities and run with them.
  • A challenger mindset: you’re not afraid to ask why or suggest new ways of doing things.
