More About the Role 

As a Senior Account Executive at Burson, you’ll work with some of the world’s most influential and recognisable brands, helping shape the stories that define their reputation. You’ll support and lead day-to-day delivery across key accounts, collaborating closely with senior leaders while coordinating media outreach, events, content creation and reporting that genuinely moves the needle. 

In this role, you’ll be trusted to build strong client relationships, deliver high quality work and proactively spot opportunities that elevate campaigns, strengthen reputation and drive impact.  

What You’ll Do 

Account Management 

  • Support strategy, planning and execution alongside senior team members 
  • Coordinate events, press trips, media stays and influencer activity 
  • Oversee content development, including pitches, social posts and press materials 
  • Ensure team documents, folders and trackers are accurate and up to date 
  • Identify potential client issues early and support solutions proactively 

Media & Influencer Management 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media and influencer contacts 
  • Stay across shifts in the media landscape and share insights with the team 
  • Confidently pitch and secure quality coverage across multiple formats 
  • Draft clear, engaging press releases, pitches and alerts 

Client Service 

  • Develop strong knowledge of client brands, industries and competitors 
  • Proactively suggest ideas across PR, content, partnerships and social 
  • Provide timely updates and responses to clients 
  • Identify relevant news, trends and opportunities that support client objectives 
  • Maintain accurate reports, trackers and measurement documents 

Financial & New Business 

  • Support third-party cost management and approvals 
  • Contribute ideas and insights to new business discussions and proposals 
  • Draft case studies that highlight high-quality outcomes and results 

Wider Agency Thinking 

  • Engage with specialists across Burson and the broader WPP network 
  • Demonstrate interest in digital, content, internal communications and emerging channels 
  • Share ideas for improving processes, capability and ways of working

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines
