Senior Account Manager (Sydney)
 
Introduction to team  
Private Label Solutions (PLS) is the B2B arm of Expedia Group. We bring Expedia Group’s innovative technology and distribution solutions to partners across the world. These businesses include loyalty programs, airlines, travel agents, corporate travel management companies, and online retailers who market PLS rates and availabilities to their travelers.  

 

Partners can access PLS products in the way that best suits their business, whether that is a fully customisable environment through PLS APIs or an ‘off-the-shelf’ white-label or co-branded template solution offering or its agent tools. We offer the chance to work with the brightest minds in the travel business in an energetic and international work environment focused on innovation, creative problem-solving and collaboration 

 

In this role, you will:  

  • Grow and manage a portfolio of existing and new PLS partners 

  • Account ownership of partner relationships post-launch with clear profitability/revenue targets and the identification and development of incremental revenue opportunities. 

  • Management of a mix of partners from multiple segment with clear profitability/revenue targets. 

  • Build effective client relationships and lead complex commercial negotiations with Directors and C-suite levels. 

  • Influence the decision making of both internal and external stakeholders through formal and informal negotiations / discussions 

  • Travel regularly and meet partners face-to-faceTravel requirements are both domestic and international. 

  • Provide ongoing input to senior management in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve process efficiencies. 

 

Experience and qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, preferably in online travel/commerce/retailing/portals 

  • Strong understanding of hotel B2B distribution in APAC. 

  • Strong relationship / communication skills; required as role is client facing, involving client contact in negotiation and in ongoing partner contact. 

  • Previous experience in leading complex commercial negotiations 

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously and under deadline. 

  • Extensive e-commerce experience and familiarity with e-commerce / e-marketing metrics and their management is highly desirable. 

  • Understands financial indicators, manages budgets, and uses financial analysis to make strategic decisions and drive profitability. 

  • Technical Project Management experience, a plus. 

  • A good understanding of the internet technologies used in the travel industry, a plus
