The Senior Accountant is responsible for the general accounting process for APAC business. This includes managing month-end accounting and reporting activities, intercompany accounting, external audits, local regulatory reporting and Tax processes. The position acts as 2IC to the APAC Finance Manager and has two direct reports, it is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead a team and take ownership of financial reporting processes - potentially opening future opportunities for financial management.
ResponsibilitiesLead the Month end cycle, including management reporting and insights
Work with external professional service firms on the annual audit process and corporate tax returns across the APAC region
Drive budgets, forecasts and performance analysis
Contribute to a continuous improvement and lean mindset by identifying and driving initiatives to add value and improve efficiencies in processes
Build and develop strong internal business partnerships with key stakeholders
Mentor and develop offshore GL team
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
5+ years commercial Accounting experience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Previous experience at a US multinational with exposure across the Asia Pacific region is desirable but not essential
Strong knowledge of Accounting principles and processes
Superior communication skills and enthusiastic personality
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and previous exposure to an ERP system. Previous exposure to a BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI desirable.

Ability to work both effectively independently and harmoniously with a team.
Ability to build relationships and work well across functions.
