The Role
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department within a fast-paced payments and electronic money environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the company’s accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Finance Team Lead and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of daily finance operations;
- Perform and/or review day-to-day accounting activities, including postings, procurement, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
- Support the preparation and closure of the monthly management accounts and financial reports;
- Contribute to the preparation and review of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and industry best practices;
- Assist in the coordination of external audits and regulatory reporting requirements;
- Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and EMI regulatory obligations;
- Identify and recommend process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy;
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members;
- Perform any other related duties as required to support the efficient running of the department.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (University Degree, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
- Previous Big 4 experience and/or experience in the EMI/payments industry will be considered an asset
- Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central) and strong Excel skills will be considered an asset;
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;
- A proactive team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills, eager to learn;
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines;
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
