About the Role
We are looking for a Senior AEM Backend Developer to join our Sydney-based delivery team. The role will focus on developing and implementing scalable enterprise solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AEM backend development, Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR/Oak and AEM as a Cloud Service, along with the ability to work directly with clients, architects and distributed delivery teams.
Knowledge of Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) is a nice-to-have.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust backend solutions using Adobe Experience Manager.
- Develop custom AEM components, services, workflows and integrations.
- Develop and maintain AEM applications using Java, OSGi, Sling Models and JCR/Oak.
- Build REST APIs and integrations between AEM and third-party enterprise systems.
- Work with AEM as a Cloud Service and Cloud Manager.
- Develop solutions using AEM Core Components and custom extensions.
- Configure and develop AEM workflows, schedulers, servlets and event handlers.
- Troubleshoot application, integration and production issues.
- Participate in technical design, estimation and code reviews.
- Follow development, security and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA and frontend developers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
- Work closely with offshore delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Participate in client discussions and provide technical recommendations when required.

- 6+ years of software development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on AEM development experience.
- Strong enterprise AEM implementation experience.
- AEM Cloud Service experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore delivery teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- AEM certification is desirable.
