Do work that matters

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in risk management to join our team as a Senior Analyst Controls Assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and overseeing control testing activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role requires an understanding of risk management frameworks and experience or exposure to internal controls.

On any given day you will:

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.

  • Develop and implement control testing strategies and methodologies.

  • Identify control deficiencies and provide recommendations for remediation.

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure controls are properly designed and implemented.

  • Prepare detailed analysis on control testing results and present findings to relevant stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain control testing documentation, including test plans, workpapers and evidence.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of control testing activities in accordance with established timeline.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Previous banking and/or controls testing experience

  • Strong organisation and time management skills

  • Risk Mindset: All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discusses and act on current and future risks

  • A sound understanding and knowledge of risk and control environments and industry frameworks

  • Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems
