In this critical role, you’ll serve as a key link between Finance and IT, ensuring our finance systems are optimised, well-supported, and aligned with business needs. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, improve system performance, and help future-proof our financial operations. 

This role sits within the Office of the CFO and reports to the Senior Manager, Finance Systems. Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Act as the key interface between Finance and IT to translate business needs into practical and effective system solutions. 

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support of finance systems, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design system enhancements, and support seamless integration. 

  • Contribute to system upgrades and new implementations, including planning, testing, and execution to minimise disruption. 

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying enhancements and recommending innovative, future-focused solutions. 

  • Troubleshoot system issues, resolve data breaks, and optimise performance of core financial platforms. 

  • Leverage strong SQL skills to support backend processes and enhance reporting reliability. 

  • Participate in major finance system transition projects. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Proven experience in a finance systems analyst role—ideally within a medium-sized organisation—with a focus on maintaining, upgrading, and improving finance systems. 

  • Strong ability to analyse complex issues, translate business requirements into system solutions, and manage end-to-end testing. 

  • Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and build effective cross-functional relationships. 

  • Ability to think critically, respond to evolving priorities, and contribute ideas for innovation and improvement in a fluid, fast-paced environment. 

Technical Expertise: 

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and understanding of data structures, object relationships, and reporting systems. 

  • Experience with finance systems such as Workday (strongly preferred), Oracle, or SAP. 

  • Exposure to Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
