We work flexibly from our Sydney CBD Office where you can expect to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
In this critical role, you’ll serve as a key link between Finance and IT, ensuring our finance systems are optimised, well-supported, and aligned with business needs. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, improve system performance, and help future-proof our financial operations.
This role sits within the Office of the CFO and reports to the Senior Manager, Finance Systems. Key responsibilities will include:
Act as the key interface between Finance and IT to translate business needs into practical and effective system solutions.
Provide ongoing maintenance and support of finance systems, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design system enhancements, and support seamless integration.
Contribute to system upgrades and new implementations, including planning, testing, and execution to minimise disruption.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying enhancements and recommending innovative, future-focused solutions.
Troubleshoot system issues, resolve data breaks, and optimise performance of core financial platforms.
Leverage strong SQL skills to support backend processes and enhance reporting reliability.
Participate in major finance system transition projects.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a finance systems analyst role—ideally within a medium-sized organisation—with a focus on maintaining, upgrading, and improving finance systems.
Strong ability to analyse complex issues, translate business requirements into system solutions, and manage end-to-end testing.
Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and build effective cross-functional relationships.
Ability to think critically, respond to evolving priorities, and contribute ideas for innovation and improvement in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced proficiency in SQL and understanding of data structures, object relationships, and reporting systems.
Experience with finance systems such as Workday (strongly preferred), Oracle, or SAP.
Exposure to Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
