Are you an analytically minded professional looking to take the next step in your Corporate Finance career?

RSM Australia's Corporate Finance team is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our growing Financial Modelling practice in Sydney.

As a Senior Analyst within our Financial Modelling team, you will support the design, development and delivery of financial models that consider complex accounting treatments, financial structures and business requirements.

You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to transform complex information into practical, data-driven solutions and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in client workshops, meetings and stakeholder discussions to understand business requirements

  • Assist in financial model design, specification and budgeting processes

  • Build, maintain and enhance financial models in accordance with modelling best practice

  • Analyse financial and operational information to support strategic decision-making

  • Support project management activities across multiple engagements

  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Corporate Finance and the wider firm

  • Assist with mentoring junior team members

About you:

We're looking for a commercially minded professional who is curious, motivated and passionate about problem-solving.

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline

  • 2-4 years' experience in a related role, which may include Corporate Finance, Advisory, Audit, Tax, Banking, Transaction Services or Financial Analysis

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in understanding business drivers

  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex financial concepts

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment

Desirable

  • CA, CPA or equivalent qualification completed or nearing completion

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills

  • Networking and relationship-building capabilities
