Within Financial Services, the Group Financial Reporting & Analysis (FR&A) team provides financial support to the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board. The team’s areas of focus include: 

  • Investment Reporting & Analysis - supports the Group with the reporting and analysis on our strategic investments portfolio, which is used to ensure strategic decision making and operational excellence 
  • Performance Reporting– performance analysis, monthly management reporting for the Group and Profit Announcement reporting to shareholders 
  • Planning and Forecasting – ownership of the Group’s Planning & Forecasting process, strategic and ad-hoc analysis 
  • Decision Support – strategic projects, insight development and ad-hoc analysis 

 

Some of the key areas you will be providing support include: 

  • Developing forecasts and analysis of the internal investments portfolio for senior management and project stakeholders 
  • Analysis on the efficiency, effectiveness and yield of the investment portfolio to the Group CFO, Executive Leadership Team and project community on the internal investments portfolio 
  • Ensuring that a robust due diligence process is undertaken on external equity investments 
  • Develop reporting utilising BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Alteryx 

 

Key duties will include: 

  • Monthly investment spend reporting including key business metrics and insights for senior management 
  • Reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of the investment portfolio and resources. 
  • Developing reporting utilising BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Alteryx 
  • Assist in the preparation of external results reporting on the investment portfolio 
  • Adhoc analysis of the project delivery workforce and allocation of funding with focus on optimisation 
  • Assist in the preparation of Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly Business Review memos. 
  • Process improvement / automation of processes to streamline work 
  • To provide independent review of strategic equity investments and advice to the Group CFO through financial due diligence 
  • Engage with people across various parts of the Group; stakeholder management and communication skills are paramount in this role  
  • Operational responsibilities that are required for the smooth functioning of the Investment Reporting and Analysis team, as well as pro-actively contributing to long-term value creation for the Group 

 

We're interested in hearing from people who value  

  • Excellent commercial acumen  
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis 
  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, SQL and Alteryx 
  • Familiarity working with large datasets and data manipulation 
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis 
  • Strong PowerPoint skills 
  • Transaction services / valuations experience preferable but not essential  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously 
  • Innovative and able to drive results 
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills;
