About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Private Client Tax Advisory to join our growing Business Advisory division. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high‑value private client matters, delivering technical tax advice to individuals, family groups and private enterprises, while continuing to build your advisory capability in a collaborative and supportive environment.

You will be involved in a broad range of private client tax advisory engagements, including technical research, drafting formal advice, transactional support and assisting with ATO interactions. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to deepen their advisory expertise and progress their career at a global professional services firm.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake detailed research and analysis on complex taxation matters

  • Provide private client tax advisory services to a diverse client base

  • Prepare formal written taxation advice and client deliverables

  • Draft reasonably arguable position (RAP) papers

  • Prepare restructure slide decks and transaction step plans

  • Assist with ATO disputes and reviews, including audits, Top 5,000 and Top 500 programs

  • Prepare ATO objections and private binding rulings (PBRs)

  • Apply commercial awareness to understand client industries and business environments

  • Support and mentor junior team members, acting as a buddy as required

  • Assist with other tax advisory matters as needed

About you:

Education Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor degree in Commerce, Law or equivalent

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification (Master of Taxation or Master of Laws)

  • Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification or partial completion

Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of attention to detail and technical accuracy

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
