It offers a rare opportunity to build deep expertise in a high‑profile, emerging regulatory space while working closely with senior leaders across the Group.

  • At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.

  • We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. Your new role

As a Senior Analyst, Recovery, Exit and Resolution Planning, you will take ownership of key elements of QBE’s recovery and resolution framework. You will play a hands‑on role in analysis, documentation and stakeholder engagement, while developing into a trusted subject matter expert, supporting the Group and divisions in meeting regulatory obligations.

Key requirements:

  • Owning the execution and ongoing development of recovery, exit and resolution planning deliverables in line with CPS 190 and CPS 900

  • Preparing high‑quality written materials and analysis, including reports, papers and presentations for Senior executives, Board and Regulator audiences.

  • Coordinating inputs across cross-functional Group and divisional stakeholders to ensure consistency of approach, methodology and documentation

  • Supporting responses to APRA information requests and engaging with regulators as required

  • Embedding recovery and resolution considerations into BAU activities, stress testing and strategic initiatives

  • Building strong working relationships with senior stakeholders including CFOs, executives and Boards, and providing clear, credible advice in complex scenarios

About you

We’re looking for a strong communicator who enjoys getting into the detail, takes ownership, and thrives in a complex regulatory environment. You’ll be curious, resilient and comfortable working with ambiguity, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and shape thinking in an emerging area of regulation.

  • Proven experience in recovery and resolution planning, or closely related areas such as ICAAP, stress testing or capital and liquidity risk

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence preparing Word and PowerPoint materials for senior audiences

  • Experience working in banking, insurance or consulting, ideally in a regulatory or prudential context

  • Ability to manage complex analysis, coordinate stakeholders and deliver outcomes end‑to‑end within a project‑based environment and an evolving regulatory environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a pragmatic, execution‑focused mindset

  • The confidence and capability to develop into a recognised subject matter expert
