Job Description

As a Senior Resource Planning Analyst, you will be based within the Group Workforce Services Team, preparing and recommending resourcing solutions for Cabin Crew workforces. Balancing both long-term strategic initiatives with short-term operational requirements, your new role will be instrumental in providing optimised resource plans to fly the operational program, while also delivering on the transformational initiatives aligned with the agreed business strategy.

In this role, you will responsible for the development and maintenance of resource plans that meet operational requirements, with consideration for staff availability, matching demand with supply. You will analyse and challenge trends in planning data to determine optimal forecasting requirements for future resource deployment and develop and implement tools for analysis and reporting of key issues that supports business improvement.

In addition, you will monitor, review and provide regular status reports on both the operational and financial implications of the resource plan and communicate to the relevant stakeholders. You will manage day to day operational tasks whilst also looking at long term strategic solutions.

You’ll have -

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Operations or related field of study
  • Experience in an analytical based role in planning, finance or other relevant area
  • Highly developed strategic, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced numeracy skills - ability to analyse, interpret and present numerical data for business insight
  • Ability to translate detailed data analysis into a presentation format that is simple and easy to understand while still delivering the key message
  • Excellent decision making with a high level of analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of rostering concepts, planning principles and process design
  • Demonstrated capability and commitment to improve roster efficiency and utilisation within a complex organisation
  • Superior stakeholder management, business partnering and influencing skills
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement programs
