This is a business-facing role where you will work across teams to translate complex requirements into elegant data solutions. You’ll model data for trust, semantic consistency, and scalable use, and you’ll empower data-driven decision-making across every layer of the organisation.
Job DescriptionData Modelling & Transformation
- Lead development of curated, enterprise-grade data models across Lendi’s Medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold)
- Apply dimensional modelling (e.g. Kimball) to deliver reusable fact/dimension tables
- Use dbt to define transformation logic, enforce semantic consistency, and support downstream consumption
Data Governance & Quality
- Drive lineage tracking, observability, and data quality metrics
- Embed governance across the full lifecycle of data products, ensuring auditability and compliance
- Maintain semantic layer and metric catalogue
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Translation
- Work directly with data, cross-functional and business teams to understand their needs
- Translate business problems into scalable data models and technical solutions
- Prioritise data products and models based on business value and measurable impact
Enablement & Platform Stewardship
- Support adoption of self-service tools via well-documented semantic models and data marts
- Align with Data Engineers and Platform teams on enablement and infrastructure (Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Databricks)
- Mentor team members and contribute to modelling standards, naming conventions, and knowledge sharing
- 6+ years in analytics engineering, BI/data warehousing, or data product development
- Expert-level SQL; strong Python and dbt skills; experience with Snowflake and cloud data platforms; Databricks experience a bonus
- Proven experience with dimensional data modelling (Kimball);
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills — ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to prioritise based on business value and ROI
- Familiarity with Power BI semantic models and self-service design
- Established data governance expertise
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Slack (Atlassian suite)
- Passion for embedding AI into data workflows to disrupt and innovate
