About this role
We are looking for a driven Senior Associate to join our growing Outsourced CFO & Private Enterprise tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing high-level advisory services and making a tangible impact on their growth journeys. The appeal of this role is it give a broad mix of both Outsourced CFO and Tax work allowing you to expand your skillset in both areas.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and analyse management reports, including KPIs and variance analysis.
Support cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and cost control initiatives.
Assist clients with strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting on bespoke projects
Collaborate with stakeholders, including banks, investors, and business owners, to communicate financial insights effectively.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes.
Contribute to special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, or funding initiatives.
Preparation and assistance with Corporate Tax compliance as well as Family Group compliance, which includes financial statements preparation, tax return preparation, business activity statements, payroll tax and FBT.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
Skills & experience
You’ll be agile, responsive and bring innovative ideas to the table. Your passion for understanding your clients’ businesses will see you go beyond addressing technical issues to developing actionable growth recommendations. This role will suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:
Previous experience in business advisory services within a chartered accounting environment
CA/CPA pathway or qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be a good team player
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Be highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
Prior experience in commercial roles also desirable alongside accounting firm experience
