The Opportunity

Working with Partners Saul Harben and Cynthia Elachi, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our leading Sydney Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety (WRES) team on a permanent, full time basis.

The WRES team successfully represents a strong client base across both private and public sectors, acting in high profile matters on all aspects of workplace relations. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role advising on all aspects of  industrial relations, employment, discrimination, WHS, investigations,  litigation across various Courts and Tribunals and providing specialist support on some of Australia's largest mergers and acquisitions.

This is an exciting time of growth for the team, with opportunities for structured career progression.  You will be nurtured and supported by the partners to develop your brand and practice through mentorship and dedicated learning and leadership programs.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 5 years PQE with demonstrated experience as a Senior Associate

  • Strong experience working across a range of employment law and industrial relations matters, gained within a reputable commercial law firm

  • Demonstrated capability to work autonomously as well as within a team to manage a robust and diverse workload

  • Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff

  • A high degree of initiative, dedication and commitment to client service

  • Strong communication skills and practical problem solving skills

  • The desire to participate in business development initiatives, including seminars and publishing articles

  • A proactive attitude towards personal and professional development to meet an evolving landscape of client needs
