Role Overview
As a Senior engineer at Atelier, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python development, an understanding of AWS services for backend services, and familiarity with Retool for building internal applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that integrate seamlessly with various APIs and data sources, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using Python.
• Build GraphQL APIs and integrate with third-party services.
Work with Retool to create and manage internal applications for business process automation.
• Integrated with databases using SQL, DynamoDB, SPARQL.
• Integrated with backend services in AWS (Lambda, S3, Cognito).
• Ensure application security and data protection best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with unit tests.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Review and maintain all the code changes .
About youMust Have:• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• Familiarity with Retool for internal tool development.
• Solid understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in working with APIs, webhooks, and data integrations.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile team.
• Lead team of junior developers to adhere to best practices and deliver quality code.
Nice to Have:• Experience with serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript for occasional frontend collaboration.
• Understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms like OAuth, JWT, or Cognito.
