Job Description

At P&G, our communications group is responsible for representing our brands to outside partners like press, KOLs, agency partners, legislators, regulators, advertising clearance authorities, environmental scientists, consumer associations, and NGOs.

Building and protecting the business reputation of world-leading brands is no small feat. Your skills will keep us honest and transparent as we seek to tell the story of our brands.

The Senior Manager, Brand Communications will create and support the implementation of the Brand communications strategy. The strategy would encompass develop a variety of strong and trustworthy relationships with partners that can be used to build and protect the reputation of the sector brands.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Creating integrated communication / Brand PR strategies and plans that generate earned awareness and advocacy and own the execution of these plans & events.
  • Building, maintaining and leveraging superior stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
  • Leading the planning and execution of influencer engagements and events
  • Leading risk assessment including the handling of brand issues and  crisis communication
  • Leading social engagement strategies, community management and produce compelling content that influences opinion and drives action in support of the brands.
  • Handling and developing Brand PR agencies and acting as a strategic counsel and leader for the multifunctional team

If you're a good fit you will:

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications/PR or related fields are preferred
  • Minimum 6 year’s experience in Communications/Brand PR. Strong Communications skills and management of external partner relations. You will have experience in influencer-inspired credentialing and equity building PR programs.
  • Demonstrate strategic leadership and Accountability: Excellent understanding of the needs of both external influencers and internal business partners and build plans, communication tools to meet these needs.
  • Experience in Issues and Crisis Management and Influencer Communication is an advantage
  • Be in touch externally: You will need to be able to identify external opportunities and work with a diverse mix of influencers relevant to the business: from media contacts to business leaders and local partner contacts such as NGOs, Key Opinion Leaders and government officials.
  • This role requires considerable agility and flexibility because of the number of projects to be managed simultaneously and by the fact that it is very dependent on current events and events that can happen from outside
