Job DescriptionThe Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in TAL's Finance Data Strategy transformation, working within the Finance Data Management team to establish modern data governance practices and deliver trusted financial information. This position bridges business requirements with technical implementation, ensuring that data solutions meet the needs of Finance stakeholders while supporting strategic and BAU initiatives across multiple data domains.
You will be joining an enthusiastic team that serves as the central hub for data governance excellence within Finance, ensuring operational data integrity. You will execute hands-on management of core responsibilities including data changes, master data management operations, and data quality to support finance operations using modern technology tools.
You will be working with other data experts within Finance Data Management, Finance teams, Business Systems teams, Technology and Finance leaders.
In this role you will:
- Implement Finance Data Management strategies, including automating the Finance Mapping Solution.
- Define business and technical data requirements to support Finance Data Management initiatives.
- Evaluate data changes and their effects on existing Finance processes, including the General Ledger, hierarchies, and mappings.
- Review and approve updates to general ledger dimensions, hierarchies, and Finance mappings to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in investigating and resolving mapping-related issues.
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst on medium to large projects.
- Background in finance or accounting, with exposure to financial management and process improvement.
- Skilled in developing and executing UAT test scenarios.
- Experience working with Finance General Ledgers.
- Proficient in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Cognos, TM1) and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
