A Federal Government agency is seeking Senior Business Analysts to support a variety of internal IT application projects across enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive business analysis and solution design activities.
  • Develop and document functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, and user journeys.
  • Analyse and map business processes, workflows, and information flows.
  • Act as the interface between business and technical teams to ensure delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Support ongoing process and systems improvements within the ICT delivery function.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering business analysis services for federal or state government programs/projects.
  • Strong track record in technical documentation including requirements, process maps, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Recognised Business Analyst certification aligned to industry standards.
  • Experience in delivering solutions aligned with legislative or regulatory changes.
  • Background in projects related to transport safety (road, air, maritime) or regulatory enforcement functions.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with emergency management, incident response, or first responder systems.
  • Exposure to business blueprinting or non-technical design documentation for user-centric solutions.
  • Experience running Agile ceremonies, with Azure DevOps used for managing deliverables.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Dynamics 365, SmartIQ (Intelledox), identity management systems, web forms, or customer portals.

Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid model with at least 3 days onsite in Canberra strongly preferred.
  • Interstate candidates will be considered, particularly where existing office locations are present.
