Job DescriptionAs a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll be the critical link between business needs and technology solutions. Your role is all about building deep business understanding and strong stakeholder relationships to ensure every solution delivers real, measurable value.
You’ll work in an agile, continuous delivery environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into practical, scalable outcomes. By combining analytical thinking with a proactive approach, you’ll help shape technology solutions that not only meet business objectives but also enhance efficiency and compliance.
In this role you will:
- Conduct workshops, elicit business rules, and translate requirements into features and detailed user stories, ensuring clarity and traceability.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Platform Managers, UX designers, developers, and testers in a matrixed environment to refine features and align on priorities.
- Facilitate feature refinement, estimation, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming to enable continuous delivery.
- Coordinate acceptance criteria, perform configuration changes, review solutions for gaps, and conduct testing across Dev, SYS, and UAT environments.
- Perform root cause analysis, identify interdependencies, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Keep data dictionaries updated, manage feature traceability, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards while balancing multiple initiatives.
- Proven experience in Agile delivery – comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments and contributing to ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to translate complex data and requirements into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving ability – with a proactive approach to identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, and recommending improvements.
- Life Insurance experience preferred – a solid understanding of industry processes, with a background in Claims considered a strong advantage.
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst – with demonstrated success in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and delivering technology solutions.
- Proficiency in writing user stories – ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment with business objectives.
