About Travelier Group

Travelier Group is a global travel-tech company operating leading transportation booking platforms such as Bookaway and 12Go, connecting travelers to land and sea transportation options across Asia, Europe, and beyond. Our mission is to make “any route in the world instantly bookable for any traveler.”

The Role

As a Senior Business Development  Manager, you’ll drive Travelier’s growth in Japan’s transportation sector — covering bus, ferry, train, and transfer operators.

Your focus will be on business expansion, partner acquisition, and onboarding new suppliers to strengthen our network and competitiveness.

You’ll manage the full business development cycle — from identifying and negotiating with partners to launching new routes and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the commercial performance of all destinations and operators within your assigned market.
  • Identify, acquire, and onboard new transportation partners to expand Travelier’s Japan supply network.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners to ensure competitive rates, availability, and service quality.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage supply portfolio profitability, ensuring rates and conditions remain competitive against local OTAs and resellers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, finance, support, and product) to streamline onboarding, optimize partner visibility, and improve conversion performance.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify new business opportunities, product gaps, and emerging travel trends in Japan.
  • Track and deliver on KPIs including new partner acquisition, net rate competitiveness, and revenue growth targets.

Requirements
  • Fluent in Japanese and English (both written and spoken) — essential for local negotiations and communication.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a business development, supply, or account management role — ideally within e-commerce, travel-tech, or OTA sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Japan’s travel or transportation industry (bus, ferry, train, DMC, or charter service) is a strong advantage.
Why Join Us
  • Opportunity to drive Japan’s travel digitalization with one of the fastest-growing OTA groups in Asia.
  • Be part of a global, collaborative, and innovation-driven team shaping the future of ground transportation.
  • Competitive compensation, flexible work culture, and growth opportunities across regional markets.

Benefits
  • Engaging work on a product that enables millions of travelers to book their trips daily;
  • Hybrid work setup;
  • Development opportunities (budget for self-paced learning, global training workshops, online English language classes, e-learning platforms);
  • Internal growth and internal mobility opportunities;
  • Competitive annual leave, sick leave, and public holidays;
  • Annual company offsite in Thailand.
