Our Business Technology team is looking for a Business Technology Analyst II who is customer oriented, analytical, and has an interest in partnering with our software development organization on their infrastructure. 

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • Windows, and Mac desktop administration, including but not limited to system configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and attention to detail, in resolving technical, and operational issues across the organization. 

  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance productivity within Appian, leveraging relevant tools and technologies. 

  • Provide comprehensive technical support to Appian's global employees through Service Desk cases, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of issues.

  • To provide on-call resolution for mission critical issues and document solutions within the case management system

  • To enhance overall system security, performance and availability

  • Manage end-user hardware and software inventory throughout its lifecycle, ensuring accurate tracking, maintenance, and disposal procedures.

  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders of many levels, having the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical resources. 

  • To maintain a comprehensive repository of documentation, regularly updating and contributing to it, to capture best practices and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Exhibit an interest in emerging technologies, with basic understanding of cloud computing. 

  • To perform a variety of basic user-problem analyses for the customer Service Desk; assists with monitoring the application systems and ensures a prompt and appropriate response to customer requests and issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Excellent problem solving skills and talent for identifying creative solutions

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills (verbal/written)

  • Competency in administering desktop operating systems.

  • Ability to work nights or weekends, as needed, to perform regular onsite maintenance or on call duties

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Experience with cloud computing, or Appian product is a plus
