The Role:

In this exciting, newly created role you will manage one of our most critical categories (Dresses) and lead the Buying team reporting directly into the Buying/Design Manager. This is an incredible team and an exciting time to join as we look to expand further into the US market and as our product evolves! You will spearhead our US buying and own this space! Day to Day, you will:

  • Weekly reporting, which includes trade report, best and worst, new arrivals
  • Responsible for managing and building a commercial and desirable own design / floor ranges that meets sales budgets, margin targets & closing stocks, inline with RRP architecture, OTB budget requirements and customer expectations
  • Understand and fill gaps (newness, repeats, move ons,  RPNs  etc…)  in the range driving the trend and fashion relevance
  • Having a clear understanding of our customer persona’s & regional requirements (counterseasonal offerings / ranging)
  • Managing CAT portfolio from core lines to newness, including; markdowns, allocating go-live trends, TN updates & reshoots to ensuring product has the best opportunity to sell
  • Trend, pricing and competitor research to identify product relevant to the customer through social media and local market research
  • Planning move ons alongside the design team to create a balanced and desired range aligned with trade analysis, trend/colour research
  • Cost Price Negotiations with suppliers to achieve target margins %
  • Attend fits to provide amendments to garment and ensure commerciality including  cost price and target margin % is achieved
  • Seasonal analysis including LAFC/SWOTs, seasonal bring backs & emerging trend and colour research deck
  • Give feedback to Ecomm of any required changes, including presentation, menu selection, and quality product information.
  • Provide support, training and coaching to direct reports to develop their skills and support them in their career goals.

Who are you:

  • Previous experience as a Buyer working in women's fashion
  • Experience in Buying for the US market
  • Experience in people leadership
  • Proficient in Own-label buying
