About the Opportunity:

We have an amazing opportunity for a driven Senior Category Development Manager to join our newly formed Category & Commercial Execution function responsible for the Baby & Childcare portfolio.

You will be the objective expert on Category dynamics with a strategic long-term vision, leveraging insights from all relevant sources. You will exploit your deep Category understanding to partner with the Retailer’s category growth agenda, for the ultimate benefit of Kimberly-Clark.

As the Senior Category Development Manager, Baby & Childcare your responsibilities will be diverse, including:

  • Leading the Category Strategy, and inform / influence the Brand Strategic plan with relevant Category, Customer & Shopper insights
  • Lead thinking on KC’s role in the Category strategy, and the Growth Drivers / Platforms that KC can leverage for competitive advantage.
  • Integrate the Category strategy into the Brand Plans, so that it is clear what assets / brands / services that KC can deploy in partnership with Retailers
  • Contribute to the achievement of KC’s Annual Operating Plan, by executing the category strategy with the Customer & Marketing Teams
  • Lead the development of promotional strategies/guidelines with a strategic focus to achieve the categories Revenue Mgt objectives, and TI% budget
  • Lead the development of the annual Retailer Category reviews for Baby & Childcare, linking back to the core Category Drivers and Category Strategy.
  • Assess Category fit for proposed NPD, agreed Retailer objectives & Shopper Activation standards
  • Support the company S&OP process by leading Commerical Review & Pre-Demand Review meeting.
  • Provide day to day line management and coaching to direct reports, allowing them to reach their full potential.

About you

Ideally holding tertiary degree qualifications, you have experience in FMCG Category, Sales or Marketing functions. Your ability to influence and your natural affinity for building and maintaining collaborative partnerships to achieve desired outcomes means you have a proven track record of success and confident utilising financial data and insights to build and grow a business. You are a highly effective communicator and whilst being analytical you can zoom out to assess the bigger picture.
