Job Description:

We’re seeking a Procurement Category Specialist, known internally as a Senior Category Management Specialist. This role is created to support and lead sourcing and contracting efforts across all non-merchandise categories, such as Corporate Services, HR, Supply Chain, Marketing, Construction, or Facilities.

This role plays a key part in supplier selection, contract development, and delivering value across the business. You’ll work closely with regional and global teams, supporting procurement strategies that drive performance, compliance, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support sourcing events across assigned categories (regional & global), working closely with the Procurement Managers and Global Teams

  • Develop and manage mid-range to moderately complex contracts

  • Analyse supplier proposals and negotiate supply agreements

  • Manage the contract lifecycle, liaising with legal and global teams

  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and relationship management

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and approval processes

  • Contribute to category strategy development, RFX processes, and project governance

  • Stay informed on market trends, innovations, and pricing dynamics

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in at least one or more indirect category—such as Corporate Services, HR, Supply Chain, Marketing, Construction, or Facilities (required)

  • Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skill, including tender analysis, benchmarking, and cost analysis

  • Proven experience with RFx processes and sourcing tools (Oracle advantageous)

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • CIPS, SCMP or similar certification (preferred)

  • Experience in continuous improvement and supply chain; logistics, warehousing, international freight negotiations (preferred)
