Your future team
Our Workplace Technology Collaboration team is comprised of people with backgrounds in live streaming, collaboration tech design and office technology fit outs including conference rooms, town halls and studios. We work with partners to design these spaces and deliver high end experiences for all users.
We're hiring a Senior Collaboration Solutions Engineer, reporting to the Workplace Collaboration Manager. You are an experienced AV Engineer, with a background in designing and delivering high end experiences in conference rooms, town hall spaces, and studios through builds, feedback, and maintenance.
What you'll do

  • This role will help advance collaboration at Atlassian globally, with a view towards developing strategies for our flagship new Sydney office currently under development. Your responsibilities will include designing, deploying and managing functionality of studios, conference rooms, town hall spaces, and digital signage. You will ensure that all systems are operational and that new setups are ready for success from day one.
  • A genuine fascination with AV technology and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to all levels of end users are essential for this position. You will coordinate with integrators and vendors for builds, refreshes, and maintenance.
  • You will manage relationships with internal teams, integrators vendors and technicians, serving as an internal escalation point for troubleshooting and system repairs.
  • You will be a driving force on new builds and office refreshes, offering guidance to vendors and partners on AV standards and best practices.
  • Additionally, you will act as an engineer supporting our content studio team, ensuring the proper functioning of broadcast systems, IT systems, and storage systems.
  • You will occasionally need to help plan and manage the AV component of major shows and events using Zoom Webinars and related technologies.


Your background

  • Over 6 years of experience in a corporate IT organization, specifically in Corporate AV Engineering (including conference rooms, background music, digital signage, studios and town hall spaces)
  • Expert-level understanding of video conferencing technologies, including Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Neat video conferencing hardware, training rooms, town hall spaces, QSYS, and other audio/visual solutions.
  • Experience in engineering studios for both broadcast and video production is desirable
  • A strong passion for workplace collaboration tools and services.
  • Experience with IT/AV office builds, maintenance, and refreshes.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and best practices.
  • Proven project leadership experience.
  • A commitment to continuously improving products and processes.
  • The ability to act as a technology leader and subject matter expert.
  • Experience in vendor selection and relationship management (both software and hardware).
  • Strong awareness of security practices and precautions.
  • Excellent documentation skills, and the ability to train local technicians when handing over projects.
  • Experience evaluating technical drawings and plans to ensure they meet business needs.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and is comfortable in a distributed team environment.
  • An enthusiastic, technically proficient engineer with a thirst for knowledge and innovation.
  • Relevant certifications (such as CTS, Dante, QSYS, etc.) are a significant plus.
