Job Description

Qantas Loyalty is a high performing business and has a history of launching exciting new brands and services that make a difference to its millions of Frequent Flyer and Business Rewards members. Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards remain at the core of the program, while the business has evolved to include a number of new business verticals such as Qantas Money, Qantas Insurance, Qantas Hotels & Holidays and Qantas Wine.

As the Senior Commercial & Growth Manager for Qantas Travel Insurance, you will play a pivotal and instrumental role in shaping our future direction. This involves driving the strategic roadmap forward through proactive collaboration with our Travel Insurance Partner and critical internal stakeholders across Qantas Loyalty and Qantas Airline Digital teams. A focus on the execution of key acquisition and retention initiatives, along with the management of day-to-day partnership operations, ensuring commercial success and alignment. Critically, this position requires the ability to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders to consistently identify and maximise the full commercial value of the Travel Insurance portfolio.

As a Commercial Leader within Qantas Loyalty, this role will partner with squad leads to deliver on critical commercial negotiations.

You’ll have – 

  • Experience / background working within the General Insurance industry
  • Business related degree or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Involvement in new business development and implementation
  • Extensive experience in developing approved investment cases
  • Extensive workshop planning and facilitation skills
  • Exposure to design thinking, agile delivery and/or lean processes
  • A structured and lateral thinking style with the capability to quickly understand and apply new concepts
  • Proven analytical, financial and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work in and contribute to a high performing, collaborative and fun team environment
  • Resourceful and highly organised with proven ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines
  • A strong work ethic and a passion for drawing out and driving creativity and innovation
