We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior First Nations Recruitment Consultant to play a pivotal role leading key initiatives to grow our First Nations workforce and bring our First Nations Employment Plan to life. You’ll collaborate with hiring managers, universities, and community partners to design and deliver employment pathways that support long-term, fulfilling careers at the RBA.
About the role
Lead the implementation of the RBA’s First Nations Employment Plan, which includes managing our entry pathways both internally and with external providers.
Manage our early career programs from promotion with potential hiring managers, administering of the program, recruiting and ongoing management to ensure FN employees are engaged and thriving.
Work with the recruitment team to design an accessible recruitment process and create an attractive value proposition for First Nations candidates.
Liaise with universities to build strong partnerships and promote the RBA as an employer of choice for First Nations students.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organizations, and networks.
Provide culturally informed support to candidates throughout the recruitment journey.
Partner with hiring managers and First Nations team to promote inclusive hiring practices and cultural awareness.
About you
Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, with a focus on First Nations employment strategies.
Strong understanding of cultural protocols and the ability to engage respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates and community.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience coaching leaders on cultural capability and fostering culturally safe workplaces.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resources or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Other Position Details
Knowledge of First Nations/Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and suppliers is highly desirable.
Networks and contacts with First Nations/Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, groups and communities is highly desirable.
Knowledge and understanding of First Nations/Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, cultures and the issues that affect them is highly desirable
