As a Senior Consultant, People Partnering, within the People Consulting Team, you will partner with the People Community to deliver generalist HR support to the Qantas Business, ensuring strong performance outcomes whilst supporting growth, development and engagement of our people. In this role, you will deliver a high standard of customer service by understanding business needs, identifying suitable solutions and making informed recommendations to ensure consistent, reliable HR support.
Additionally, the Senior Consultant, People Partnering, will also work on various strategic people programs and initiatives that support the Qantas People and Business priorities. These opportunities include but are not limited to leading various cyclical activities such as Talent and Performance, driving engagement across our business, continuously improving the way we do our work through process reviews, and uplifting capability through leadership development and cultural transformation programs.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Partner with HRBPs and the People Community to deliver generalist HR support to the Qantas business
Provide high quality advice and coaching to HRBPs and managers, identifying needs, assessing risks and issues, recommending mitigation options, and influencing the implementation of solutions
Support strategic programs and priorities which enable the broader People function and business to achieve its strategic goals
Support change and transformation initiatives, leveraging skills and experience in organisational design, change management and employee relations
End to end leadership of several people programs across the portfolio (including engagement surveys, listening sessions and action planning, onboarding and supporting other cyclical people activities such as performance, talent and remuneration reviews).
Monthly people dashboard reporting, providing sounding analysis and insights to the broader HRBP community and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
3–5 years’ HR experience, ideally in a business partnering capacity across both corporate and operational environments
Proven ability to deliver positive people outcomes in complex settings with multiple awards and business units
Experience coordinating projects and supporting strategic HR initiatives, including transformation and change programs
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels and across diverse workstyles
Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality and capability to operate confidently amid ambiguity and complexity
