About the role 
 

We’re seeking a Senior Contract Manager to lead the commercial, contractual, and compliance activities for strategic contracts across Transurban’s Australian ROAD portfolio. 

 
You’ll join an innovative and collaborative team that values strategic thinking, integrity, and delivering long-term value through strong supplier partnerships.

Day-to-day, you will: 
 

  • Lead the development and delivery of contract management plans, ensuring alignment with Transurban’s Contract Management Framework. 

  • Provide expert advice on contract interpretation, risk, compliance, and negotiation, supporting internal stakeholders. 

  • Oversee contract performance metrics, reporting, and issue resolution to drive value and accountability. 

  • Proactively identify and manage commercial and contract risks across the ROAD portfolio. 

  • Optimise contract performance by streamlining processes, reducing costs, and identifying value-add opportunities. 

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Transurban partners and suppliers to ensure clear expectations and collaborative problem-solving. 

  • Ensure governance, compliance, and audit activities are embedded and tracked effectively across the contract portfolio. 

  • Lead and support a high-performing team through coaching, development planning, and inclusive leadership. 
     

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including: 
 

  • Proven experience managing and administering strategic contracts with a strong understanding of contractual frameworks, compliance and legal documentation 

  • Advanced skills in interpreting and communicating legal concepts effectively 

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, including strong financial analysis capabilities 

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and building strong relationships within challenging compliance and regulatory frameworks 

  • Ability to understand technical subject matter and produce clear, concise and accurate documentation
