Senior Functional Consultant - D365 Finance & Operations

The Role (Your Why)

Join us in an exciting and well established D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management practice with ANZ’s largest IT Services Provider. As a Senior Functional Consultant for D365 F&SCM, you will support our customers in a client-facing role, taking lead responsibility for the functional areas of the solution. you’ll be the conduit between the client’s business users, stakeholders and the technical development teams. In this role, you will also support existing clients and implement new client solutions based on our industry best practice approach. You’ll be comfortable in front of clients at all levels including leading workshops, eliciting requirements, crafting solutions and articulating different concepts. 

You will be part of business transformation initiatives, large projects that leverage not only D365 F&SCM, but other solutions from ISV products, Financial Planning tools, D365 Customer Engagement, Data Platforms and more.  

You will build and solidify trusting relationships with our clients and actively collaborate on solutions with other teams. You will lead the business requirements gathering, functional design and implementation of D365 F&SCM components that meet customers specifications and conforms to Datacom's standards and guidelines. 

What You Will Bring

• Functional Financial Expertise: A deep understanding of Microsoft D365 F&SCM modules, particularly Finance including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collections, Cash and Bank Management, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, and Expense Management. 
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft D365 F&SCM or Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 implementations and support. Experience in Demand Forecasting, Master Planning, Warehouse Management, Expense Management, Multi-company, Project Accounting, and Financial Management is also highly valued. 
• Analytical Skills: The ability to analyse and translate financial business requirements into processes and solutions that implement industry-recommended practices. Ideally with a focus on out of the box functionality over heavy configuration.  
• Project Experience: Knowledge of project scoping, analysis, estimation, and post-live training and support functions to help inform and build out our implementation projects or enhancement streams of work. 
• Documentation Skills: Strong documentation skills are essential for creating and maintaining detailed records of system architecture, design specifications, and user requirements. 
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with and build relationships both internally and externally. This includes key customer contacts & product owners, project managers, end users and the wider D365 team at Datacom.  
• Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and rectify client issues, whether these are process driven, technical or functional challenges.  
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310), and Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (MB-330) are highly beneficial.
