About the role

As a Senior Data Analyst at Sonder, you’ll transform data into actionable insights that drive impactful decisions. Your core responsibility is to collect, analyse, and visualise data to develop models and solutions that support decision-makers. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various business areas—including customer success, product, design, marketing, and operations—to define their challenges and how analytics can address them.

Work closely with the data & analytics team to capture, transform, and analyse data, ensuring it meets the needs of our insights and reporting. You may encounter data that isn't readily available or formatted, and you’ll need to coordinate with teams like data engineering and backend engineering to integrate new data sources into our systems.

This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in the full analytics lifecycle—from shaping data capture to creating models and solutions. You’ll explore a range of skills, from technical data analysis to innovative design and behavioural economics, all while contributing to our vision of becoming global leaders in wellbeing insights. Your work will make a tangible impact on both our team and our end-users.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and understand key problems.
  • Scope analytics projects and outline the benefits and approach for each initiative.
  • Determine the most suitable analytics solutions, including methodologies and desired outcomes (e.g., reports, dashboards).
  • Analyse data sets to identify patterns and trends, applying statistical methods to generate actionable recommendations.
  • Communicate findings to business members through formal presentations or informal updates.
  • Explore and clean data, identifying relevant sources and working with teams to integrate new data into the warehouse.
  • Build and maintain reusable analytics solutions, thinking strategically about future needs.
  • Organise data into usable formats and analyse it to address specific questions.
  • Recommend and design experiments to enhance knowledge and advise on testing methodologies.
  • Support and mentor junior analysts in data analysis techniques, best practices, and tools.
  • Contribute to improving our analytics capabilities by defining new data collection and analysis processes.
