What You Will Get to Do:           

As part of the Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) APAC Data Platform team, you will play a key role responsible for designing and governing the overall architecture of the enterprise data platform. This role ensures that data solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with both technical standards and business goals. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder collaboration skills.

  • Design end-to-end data architecture for data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption across various use cases.
  • Define and enforce data modelling, integration, and architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and Delivery Managers to align technical solutions with product and delivery roadmaps.
  • Ensure the platform supports enterprise-grade data governance, security, lineage, and cataloguing.
  • Provide architectural guidance during development, ensuring code quality and architectural integrity.
  • Conduct reviews of system and data designs, contributing to the platform's scalability and maintainability.
  • Stay current with modern data technologies, tools, and best practices to guide the platform’s evolution.

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in designing enterprise data platforms (e.g., cloud data lakes, lakehouses, data mesh) with open source tools preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies for both private cloud and public cloud (AWS preferred), including storage, compute, and data processing services.
  • Proficient in data modelling (relational, dimensional, NoSQL) and big data architectures (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake).
  • Experience implementing data governance, cataloguing, and security best practices.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of AI/MCP is an advantage but not mandatory.
