Join Our Data Team at Modus Create!
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team to partner with different cross-functional teams across the company and provide technical and product leadership for our clients.
About You:
- Experience level: Senior
- You are a well-rounded, fast-learning data engineer experienced with multi-stage data ingestion pipelines
- Ready to work with structured and unstructured data using frameworks such as Databricks and Nextflow, as well as ones specific to the life sciences domain such as DNAnexus
- Ideally, you have experience working with both automated and human-in-the-loop flows
Requirements:
- Databricks
- Data-related cloud infrastructure and services, preferably AWS
- Relational and non-relational databases, SQL
- Python
Bonus points for:
- Experience in life sciences domain
- Experience with the R programming language
- Comfort architecting and communicating a data solution and its rationale
- Knowledge in security
- Fluency with Docker, shell, and infrastructure as code
- Curiosity about developments and trends in data engineering
- Knowledge of and/or interest in machine learning or generative AI
Team Collaboration:
- Overlap with some EST hours daily is expected.
- Reliable high-speed internet is a must!
