What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Data Engineer with strong expertise in Talend, Snowflake, SQL, and API integration. This role is critical to supporting large-scale ELT workflows and will work closely with stakeholders to build robust, scalable data pipelines and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Talend.
- Work with Snowflake to model data, build performant data warehouses, and optimise queries.
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting.
- Build and integrate APIs to enable data exchange between systems.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other engineers to support analytics and reporting use cases.
- Implement data quality, logging, and error handling in pipeline development.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience with Talend Data Integration and job orchestration.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake, performance tuning, and data warehousing.
- Advanced SQL scripting capabilities across large and complex datasets.
- Demonstrated experience building and integrating RESTful APIs for data exchange.
- Experience working within cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Strong understanding of data modelling, security, and data lifecycle management.
