Position Overview

At Autodesk, our SPM – Sales Planning and Management team is responsible for solving complex global planning challenges. We do this by leveraging a variety of platforms, working closely with our finance and sales teams in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. We are looking for a data-driven professional with a passion for technology, curiosity for solving planning problems, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid).
 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop data pipelines for extraction, transformation, cleaning, pre-processing, aggregation, and loading of data from diverse sources using Python, SQL, DBT, and other relevant technologies.

  • Design and implement new features in collaboration with stakeholders based on their requirements.

  • Build scalable and available datasets by collaborating closely with data analysts.

  • Optimize and maintain workflows and scripts within current data warehouses and ETL processes.

  • Build data quality and durability tracking mechanisms to ensure visibility and stability of data ingestion, processing, and storage.

  • Translate technical designs into business-oriented solutions, aligning with the strategy and growth objectives of the organization.

  • Focus on automation, CI/CD practices, and self-service modules relevant to data domains.

  • Collaborate with data consumers and analytics teams to build data tools that support business intelligence and product innovation.

  • Stay up to date with best practices in data engineering and evaluate new technologies to keep Autodesk’s data strategy at the forefront of industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.

  • Expertise in building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, and workload management.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities like Snow SQL and Snow Pipe, including Snowflake cost optimization scenarios.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and experience writing modular, maintainable code.

  • Experience with Airflow and DBT.

  • Familiarity with Git for version control.

  • Experience with big data technologies.

  • Demonstrated ownership, ability to build consensus across teams, and experience with designing complex enterprise systems.

  • Fast learner and team player, with experience collaborating with various disciplines and domains.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with tools like Five Tran, Airflow, Jenkins for CI/CD.

  • Familiarity with Power BI and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and CloudWatch.
