The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Creative Lead to run, grow and inspire our in-house creative team. We’re a small, passionate team who ‘inspire & champion each other’ to create ideas that set us apart from our competition. We’ve proven the power of creativity & storytelling to deliver effective marketing, and we need someone who can amplify that power tenfold.

You will be responsible for elevating our marketing communications through a mix of exceptional design, video storytelling, and creative ideas with a hybrid team of in-house creatives, agencies and freelancers. You will be the champion for our brand guidelines, turning them into creative executions that drive customer engagement and revenue across our key brand, digital & eCommerce channels, creating the creative boundaries so the team know just how far they can go.

Working collaboratively with the Brand, Performance, Digital & Campaigns teams you will translate business challenges into attention-grabbing, and action-driving creative to live across all media & marketing touchpoints. You will have an absolute obsession with digital creative, always looking for ways to innovate in eCommerce, Google, Meta & Pinterest, working with content creators & photographers, as well as extensive experience bringing ideas to life in traditional mediums like impactful OOH and events.

You will be a natural collaborator who champions creativity, cohesiveness & commercial outcomes. In this role, you need to be an influential leader able to develop & grow a small team of designers, editors & copywriters., while still rolling up your sleeves to design, edit and produce. Core Activities

  • Graphic Design: Elevate our graphic design across eCommerce, digital marketing, email & campaigns. Turning our guidelines into iconic, memorable designs that our customers love.
  • Video Editing: Lead the approach to video editing, creating hero edits for your team to evolve and execute on.
  • Production: Lead the production of hero campaigns either using in house talent, or managing agencies to deliver exceptional quality on time, on brief, and to drive action
  • Campaign Rollout: Manage the delivery of creative briefs across copy, video, templates, and graphic design for all owned & media channels
  • Team & Agency Management: Lead & develop the creative team of a designer, video editor & copywriter, leveraging freelancers and agencies where required to deliver on all key business outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Manage the production & freelance budgets, to ensure we are resourced appropriately for major calendar moments, with the right expertise and support
  • Creative Strategy: Provide strategic and creative design thinking to define, drive and deliver engaging marketing campaigns.
  • Brand Guardianship: Ensure the maintenance, evolution & consistency of each brands’ unique identities, evolving guidelines and systems to ensure every marketing touchpoint delivers on our brands USP & customer needs.
  • Hands-on Creativity: Working closely with the Campaigns & Performance team to understand what works in our channels, run tests, and to continually improve the effectiveness of, and engagement with, our campaigns.
Experience Required
  • 5+ years in a senior design role: involving team management, art direction, content creation, stills and video shoot production, graphic design, and copy for marketing.
  • Experience working within an internal brand of marketing team is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suitemj (PSD, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Skilled in post-production, edits, retouching of photoshoots and video shoots, Premiere Pro and After Effects experience preferable.
  • High understanding of eCommerce & digital marketing
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve & thrive under pressure.
  • Optimism, energy & creative ideas
  • An outstanding eye for detail, while able to see and understand the big picture
  • 3+ years’ experience leading and managing creative teams.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing and being responsible for large production, freelancer & agency budgets.
