We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior .NET Developer to join our Computershare Communications Services Team in the Yarra Falls or Sydney offices. This team creates communication templates using established in-house frameworks (including Perl-based solutions) and a modern communication composition platform. Core components and APIs are supported by a centralised Engineering team, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability across our solutions.

A role you will love

This role offers the opportunity to influence the future technical direction of our communications platform as we continue our cloud and engineering modernisation journey. You will play a pivotal role in expanding CCS's technical capabilities and evolving our framework. You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying new web APIs and applications in .NET to directly fulfill client requirements.

Some key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to our technology modernisation initiatives, including Azure cloud adoption and the continued evolution of our CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust web APIs, desktop, and web applications using .NET applications to interface seamlessly with existing on-premises enterprise platforms. 
  • Support and enhance business-critical applications and automation solutions, including established scripting frameworks.
  • Develop and deliver new components and services that meet evolving client and business requirements.
  • Help strengthen the team's development capabilities through the introduction of modern engineering practices and reusable components.
  • Participate in the assessment and migration of suitable workloads to Azure cloud.
  • Leverage Azure DevOps for source control, build automation, and deployment pipelines as part of our ongoing platform modernisation initiatives.
  • Advanced experience in .NET development, C#, and Web API architecture. 
  • Strong hands-on experience utilizing Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience designing solutions that operate in hybrid infrastructure environments spanning both on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Comfortable using Generative AI tools to analyse, troubleshoot, and enhance existing applications and codebases.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Advanced experience in .NET development, C#, and Web API architecture. 

  • Strong hands-on experience utilizing Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, specifically in environments migrating from legacy tools like TFS.

  • Proven experience designing solutions that operate in hybrid infrastructure models (spanning both on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Comfortable using Generative AI tools to rapidly analyze, troubleshoot, and modify unfamiliar legacy code (such as Perl).

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
