We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, automate, and support cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes. This role partners closely with Engineering, Security, QA, and Operations teams to improve reliability, scalability, security, and deployment efficiency across cloud-based platforms.

This position is based in Australia and requires regular collaboration with US-based teams. The candidate must be able to work effectively across time zones, participate in scheduled meetings during overlapping business hours, and communicate clearly with geographically distributed stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale Azure cloud infrastructure.

  • Lead cloud modernization and platform engineering initiatives.

  • Monitor production, staging, test, and development environments for a myriad of applications in an agile and dynamic organization.

  • Build and support CI/CD tools to port & manage multiple applications on Azure & Kubernetes.

  • Ability to understand the application requirements (Performance, Security, Scalability etc.) and assess the right services/topology on Cloud.

  • Deploy & Support applications onto Kubernetes based environments.

  • Build tools to monitor and alert the high performance and low latency applications.

  • Ability to troubleshoot application specific, core network, system and performance issues.

  • Involvement in challenging and fast-paced projects supporting the business by delivering innovative solutions.

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of junior DevOps engineers while promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Attend and actively participate in daily stand-ups, spring planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other activities to provide updates, blockers, and coordinate dependencies.

  • The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, proactive, and solution oriented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering

  • Extensive experience in managing Cloud-based applications

  • Strong Experience in Infrastructure templating tools

  • Demonstrated understanding of Data Security on Cloud-based applications

  • Extensive knowledge of networking concepts on Cloud

  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for large-scale applications on Azure

  • Extensive experience using GitHub to support enterprise repository management, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, version control, and integration with CI/DC pipelines.

  • Strong background in transforming applications into cloud native environments

  • Experience in migrating & supporting applications on Kubernetes

  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming skills

  • Familiarity with programming skills in Ruby on Rails, Golang, React, JavaScript, etc.

  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira to manage tasks, track sprint work, document technical activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills

Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in Australia, without company sponsorship.

Salary Range: 214,000 - 242,000 AUD + Super + Benefits + Bonus
