Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience across AWS, container orchestration, and core networking to join our engineering team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building and maintaining scalable infrastructure that supports our rapidly growing platforms. If you enjoy automation, cloud architecture, and working within high-performing engineering teams—this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS following best practices.
  • Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters, ideally with hands-on experience in Amazon EKS.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI or similar.
  • Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Design secure and reliable network architectures including VPCs, routing, load balancing and firewalls.
  • Monitor system performance, reliability and costs—leading improvements across the platform.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, architects and security teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in an on-call rotation (where applicable).

Qualifications

  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, routing and firewalls.
  • Practical experience running Kubernetes in production; EKS experience highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience with Docker and container-based build/deploy workflows.
  • Comfortable working with Linux systems and shell scripting.
  • A passion for automation, reliability and performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within agile teams.

Nice to have:

  • Dynatrace for monitoring and Karpenter for Kubernetes.
  • Experience with service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
  • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-native environments.
  • Programming or scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash).
