Deputy is a global SaaS remote-first workforce management company with hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, San Francisco and London, plus team members working remotely across the United States. Our platform serves over 1.5 million workers and 375,000 workplaces across 100+ countries. We are backed by top global investors and recently achieved Unicorn status.

At Deputy, we’re improving the world of work, one shift at a time, for 80% of the world’s workforce: hourly workers. These are the dedicated employees who keep our world running – from baristas to nurses, cleaners to delivery drivers, florists to factory workers. Despite their vital role in society, most workplace technology has focused on those workers who sit behind a desk, but at Deputy, we transform the frontline. When businesses use Deputy, their workplaces thrive – the business is more profitable, compliant, and productive, while the workers are more engaged and happier at work.

If you’re passionate about creating solutions that put people first and helping businesses and their teams thrive, join us at Deputy and make an impact where it matters most!

The Role

At Deputy, we’re on a mission to improve the lives of shift workers and the businesses that employ them. As our Senior Director of Brand & Creative, you’ll help bring that mission to life—shaping how the world sees, feels, and connects with Deputy.

In this role, you’ll lead our brand strategy, creative expression, and digital presence across every touchpoint—from campaigns and content to social, web, and design systems. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure our brand not only stands out but also stands for something: fairness, efficiency, and opportunity for the world’s shift workers.

You’ll also partner with People & Culture to grow our employer brand in line with our values and help unite our internal and external voice. As a senior leader, you’ll bring clarity, creativity, and operational excellence to help scale a brand that’s ready to lead the category—and the conversation.

This is a unique opportunity to lead brand at a company with a real mission, a strong product, and a global footprint—while working alongside a marketing team that’s collaborative, scrappy, and driven to win.

Responsibilities

  • Brand:
  • Define and evolve Deputy’s global brand positioning, architecture, and visual identity to support business growth and category leadership.
  • Ensure consistent application of Deputy’s brand across all customer, employee, and partner touchpoints—including campaigns, web, and internal comms.
  • Partner with People & Culture and Customer Marketing to develop an employer brand that reflects Deputy’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Creative:
  • Lead and inspire the in-house creative team and external agencies to deliver breakthrough concepts and high-performing creative assets across channels.
  • Ensure all creative executions meet the brief, align with the brand strategy, and connect emotionally with our audiences.
  • Build scalable processes for creative development, review, and approval to support rapid execution across regional teams.
  • Content:
  • Oversee the development of strategic content narratives that support key initiatives—from product launches to brand campaigns.
  • Collaborate with PMM and Demand Gen teams to ensure messaging resonates with target personas across the funnel.
  • Set editorial standards and tone of voice guidelines; ensure all content reflects our brand values and priorities.
  • Social:
  • Own the global organic social media strategy and execution to increase brand visibility, community engagement, and follower growth.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing and Comms to amplify customer stories, company milestones, and relevant cultural moments.
  • Ensure regional alignment across AU, UK, and US while maintaining a consistent brand voice and look-and-feel.
  • Web:
  • Lead the strategic direction of Deputy’s web presence, ensuring the website reflects the brand and supports acquisition, education, and conversion goals.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and RevOps to optimize site experience, navigation, and SEO performance.
  • Maintain consistency in design, messaging, and UX across all web properties, landing pages, and microsites.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in brand, content, or creative marketing, with at least 5 years in a B2B environment.
  • A track record of developing brand strategies and delivering creative campaigns that drive awareness, consistency, and business results.
  • Strong creative judgment — able to evaluate, shape, and champion great ideas from concept through execution across digital and offline channels.
  • Experience leading internal teams and managing external agencies or freelancers to produce high-impact work on time and within budget.
  • Experience overseeing web as a strategic asset — partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize design, content, SEO, UX, and conversion.
  • Familiarity with web systems (CMS), design best practices, and performance metrics; not expected to code, but confident guiding web decisions.
  • Ability to connect brand and creative execution to business outcomes — comfortable measuring performance and evolving strategies based on insights.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and hands-on — you’re just as comfortable building strategy as you are reviewing copy, giving design feedback, or writing a brief.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments where curiosity, scrappiness, and creativity are key.
  • Passion for brand-building, storytelling, and creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience; advanced degree not required.
