Job Summary
FusionAuth is looking for a Senior Director of Corporate Marketing to elevate FusionAuth's brand voice, narrative, and market influence as we scale upmarket and expand our presence in the Identity space. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, fast worker and excited about growing a company from the ground up. The role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). We are open to full-time US-based candidates to work as a dedicated full-time employee. Most of our staff reside in the Mountain or Pacific time zone but we are open to any US location.
The Senior Director of Corporate Marketing will own and execute FusionAuth's corporate marketing strategy, including all facets of brand positioning, public relations, analyst relations, thought leadership, customer advocacy, and strategic event experiences. This growing company needs a full-time, roll-up-your-sleeves pro with a diverse background scaling an organization through multiple stages (i.e. seven-figure, eight-figure, and nine-figure revenue). We are growing rapidly and you will have a direct hand in creating and improving corporate marketing and communications operations.
Responsibilities
- Own, develop, and continually refine FusionAuth's voice and identity, ensuring clarity, consistency, and differentiation across all channels
- Build powerful story arcs around our unique value proposition and translate them into compelling market-facing narratives that elevate our brand profile
- Own PR strategy end-to-end with a focus on thought leadership, industry trends, and strategic story placement in developer, security, infrastructure, and enterprise media
- Develop FusionAuth's Analyst Relations program from the ground up by building relationships with Gartner, Forrester, KuppingerCole, and managing briefings and submissions
- Develop and manage executive platforms, including bylines, keynote narratives, and strategic viewpoints by partnering with the CEO, CPO, and CMO
- Lead creation of research reports, benchmark studies, and original industry insights that shape FusionAuth's point of view and build market credibility
- Develop and execute customer marketing and advocacy programs, including customer councils and early adopter programs
- Partner closely with demand generation to ensure corporate narratives translate into pipeline-driving programs and measurable business outcomes
- Mentor and grow a high-performing team across communications, brand, content, customer marketing, and events
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of experience in corporate marketing, brand, communications, or related roles in B2B software
- Experience working in cyber security, infrastructure, or developer tools a plus
- Proven ability to craft a differentiated corporate narrative and drive visibility in a competitive/technical market
- Strong track record of building PR and AR, securing meaningful coverage, and elevating executive voices
- Demonstrated success producing thought leadership content that drives awareness and credibility
- Experience connecting corporate marketing programs to pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced start-up environments
- Collaborative team player who is excited to be part of a growing team
Preferred
- Experience building and scaling corporate marketing functions at companies transitioning from mid-market to enterprise, particularly during periods of rapid growth or market repositioning
- Background working with developer-first or technical buyer audiences, with demonstrated ability to balance technical credibility with broader business narrative
- Track record of successfully launching or repositioning a B2B software brand in a crowded category, including rebranding initiatives or market repositioning efforts
- Established relationships with key industry analysts, tier-1 technology journalists, or influential voices in the identity and access management, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure spaces
- Experience designing and executing integrated event strategies (keynotes, user conferences, industry events) that generate both brand impact and qualified pipeline
Compensation
- $150-190k expected base salary range*
