The Senior Director, HR Business Partner – Finance serves as the strategic people leader for global Finance organizations, partnering with senior Finance and HR leadership to shape and execute a talent agenda that enables business performance, transformation, and leadership continuity. This role translates business strategy into workforce plans, organization design, succession priorities, leadership effectiveness actions, and culture initiatives. The leader will bring enterprise HRBP depth, strong executive influence, data-driven workforce insight, and the ability to operate in a global matrix environment. 

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Finance leadership to define the people strategy required to deliver business priorities, including transformation, operating model effectiveness, succession strength, and critical capability development. 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organization effectiveness, leadership capability, talent movement, workforce risk, and culture priorities that materially affect business performance. 

  • Translate business strategy and workforce data into actionable talent plans, using workforce analytics, succession insights, engagement trends, and HR dashboards to identify risks, opportunities, and required interventions. 

  • Lead strategic workforce planning for global skill teams, including role design, capability assessment, build/buy/borrow talent strategies. 

  • Drive enterprise change management and organization transformation, ensuring leaders are equipped to communicate, adopt, and sustain new ways of working across regions and functions. 

  • Advise leaders on executive succession, leadership development, technical capability pipelines, and talent readiness for future Finance roles. 

  • Partner across HR centers of excellence to deliver integrated solutions across talent management, rewards, employee relations, performance management, culture, and organization development. 

  • Coach senior leaders through sensitive people decisions, performance issues, employee relations matters, and employment-risk considerations with sound judgment and regulatory discipline. 

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience. 

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience with a Master’s degree or 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, talent strategy, organization development, employee relations, or a related field. 

Licenses and Certifications:  

  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR) (Preferred)

  • Executive HRBP and Business Partnership Depth: Demonstrated success advising senior executives in a complex, global, matrixed organization with material business transformation, leadership, and workforce implications. 

  • Strategic Workforce Planning and Talent Strategy: Experience translating business strategy into talent priorities, succession plans, organization design choices, and emerging talent profiles. 

  • Executive Talent Acquisition Alignment: Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to sharpen role scope, define must-have experiences, and pressure-test candidate requirements. 

  • AI and Digital Fluency: Practical fluency using AI, analytics, and digital HR tools to improve decision quality, accelerate transformation, and increase HR delivery effectiveness. 

  • Digital and Finance Transformation Exposure: Experience supporting organizations building pipelines for digital finance, data strategy, AI risk, governance, compliance, and other emerging capabilities. 

  • Global and Multi-Market Experience: Experience supporting global teams, navigating regional complexity, and driving consistent talent outcomes across markets. 

Work Requirements: 

Involves occasional (defined as one-third or less of the time) lifting of no more than 10 pounds at a time. Work is performed primarily in a seated position and entails no significant stooping, standing, climbing, walking, etc. Many sedentary jobs require good use of the hands and fingers for repetitive hand-finger actions. Working conditions occur within low to moderate noise levels related to the use of standard office or classroom equipment.

This position is a leadership level 4. 
 

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
