As our project pipeline continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join our Sydney team and play a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Australia.

This is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on transport and infrastructure programs including roads, rail and water projects, while contributing your expertise in drainage, hydrology and hydraulic design.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and design expertise across the full project lifecycle, from planning and concept development through to detailed design and delivery. Working within our Civil team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists and support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading drainage, hydrology and hydraulic design activities across infrastructure projects.
  • Designing stormwater, drainage, pipeline and water infrastructure solutions.
  • Supporting the delivery of road, rail and water projects from planning through to detailed design.
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to engineers and designers.
  • Reviewing project deliverables to ensure technical excellence and compliance with quality standards.
  • Developing strong client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
  • Supporting bids, proposals and project planning activities.
  • Managing project priorities, budgets and delivery commitments in collaboration with project leaders.

About You

You are a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and working in collaborative project environments. You bring a proactive mindset, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes for clients.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Established experience in civil, drainage or water infrastructure engineering within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pipelines or water infrastructure design.
  • Experience delivering transport and infrastructure projects, particularly roads and rail.
  • Strong technical design and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or the ability to obtain accreditation.
