Job Description

As a Senior (also open to Principal level) Earthing and Bonding Engineer, you will lead the delivery of complex E&B solutions across major infrastructure projects—including rail, substations, and utilities—by applying your technical expertise to design, review, and verify systems for 1500V DC and 25kV AC traction power, re-signalling, SAT/TAP, and electrical upgrades, while ensuring compliance with safety, EMC, and network standards, and overseeing modelling, documentation, and integration to deliver technically sound, constructible, and standards-aligned outcomes.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Lead and manage the earthing design components of major infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget, while mentoring junior engineers.
  • Develop, review, and approve earthing designs, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with standards, and innovative problem-solving.
  • Engage and collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to drive project outcomes and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the ANZ region.
  • Ensure quality and safety compliance by conducting regular design reviews and implementing robust quality assurance processes across all deliverables.
  • Collaborate globally to share technical knowledge, apply best practices, and drive innovation and sustainability across diverse, high-impact infrastructure project
  • Working with team lead to build the team and their expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on rail, transmission and water projects
  • Extensive knowledge of Earthing and bonding for High voltage, Low voltage systems, 1500V DC and 25kVAC traction systems, transmission lines, buildings, pipelines
  • Strong understanding of and experience with TfNSW, Australian Standards. Knowledge of Ausgrid, Transgrid is favoured.
