Cochlear is hiring for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Embedded Software Integration & Verification Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. Within this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our embedded software systems. You’ll play a critical role in the software development lifecycle, leading integration and verification activities to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards.
Accountabilities
Work with ES feature team leads and product owners on planning of verified component availability for integration.
Ensure continuous configuration and integration of components for ES platform releases.
Execute verification of integration builds as required and work with component leads (in feature teams) on cleaning out integration build & verification issues.
Ensure delivery of stable ES platform release and associated test software for final verification sign off and release to system V&V.
Seek input from key system, product and platform Integration and verification functions across Cochlear on future competence, infrastructure and organisational needs to contribute to the ES I&V strategy.
Address growing complexity of product and ES ecosystem through platform thinking and automation.
Maintain processes and best practices within ES I&V and beyond (System V&V and other platform teams)
Continuously stay up to date on best-practice in related industries and implement state-of-the art methods, infrastructure, and tools
Follow relevant quality procedures to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement. Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g., audit) when appropriately trained to undertake these responsibilities.
Key Requirements
At least 3 years of experience testing complex hardware and software systems.
Demonstrated understanding of improving test efficiency through automation and test methodology processes and competencies.
Proven experience with test driven ES development processes and tools
Skilled in cross-functional thinking and problem solving.
Solid understanding of ES methodologies & tools, embedded system continuous integration and deployment
Possess good analytical skills and is an excellent communicator that thrives well in an operational environment with numerous stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail as well as excellent verbal and written Communication Skills
Sound capabilities in coding languages such as Python, C or C#. Able to debug test scripts, write test cases in pseudo code.
