Senior End User Technology Specialist – Permanent Role

About the role

 

We’re looking for a Senior End User Technology Specialist to join our Technology Service Operations team and shape the future of the digital workplace at Challenger.

 

This is a newly created role where you’ll use your technical expertise in End User Computing to help ensure our workplace tools, platforms, and support models are modern, efficient, and user-friendly. Working closely with our EUC and IT support teams, you’ll focus on optimising the employee technology environment—including devices, software, and collaboration tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and help resolve pain points in the internal user experience across IT touchpoints (devices, software, support)

  • Collaborate with End User Computing and Infrastructure teams to assess and improve the usability, performance, and reliability of workplace tools

  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business users, helping ensure services are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with business needs

  • Contribute to the development of support models, self-service resources, and automation opportunities

  • Translate user and business requirements into technical improvements

  • Participate in or support user engagement activities such as workshops, feedback forums, and user experience evaluations 

  • Help build trust in IT services through responsiveness, transparency, and clear communication

Skills and experience you’ll bring

 

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in End User Computing and enterprise technology. You may have worked in IT support, infrastructure, systems administration, or roles focused on enabling internal teams through workplace technology and digital tools.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your technical expertise in workplace technology will be key to delivering a seamless digital experience for employees.

As well as

  • Solid experience in IT or EUC environments within medium-to-large organisations (experience in regulated industries is desirable)

  • Hands-on familiarity with devices, Microsoft 365, endpoint management solutions, and enterprise collaboration tools

  • A good understanding of user support models, desktop engineering, and service improvement practices

  • Comfortable participating in facilitation activities such as workshops and journey mapping Experience in running workshops or gathering user feedback is highly regarded

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities - you'll pride yourself on your ability to engage with teams, communicate effectively, and translate technical capabilities into meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is essential

  • ITIL v4 Foundation (or higher) certification desirable

  • Microsoft 365 and EUC platform certifications (e.g. Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop) are highly regarded

  • Familiarity with user experience or feedback tools will be highly valued

This role is based in our Sydney office with hybrid working arrangements. Occasional travel to our other office locations (Melbourne & Brisbane) may be required.
