Job DescriptionThe Role
As a Senior Engineer working in one of our autonomous, cross-functional squads, you will make a significant technical contribution to the successful delivery of the various business priorities as well as continuous improvement of our technical platforms. As part of the Jora team, you'll enjoy working in a start-up culture with the backing and support of a larger company. We are hardworking, open-minded and passionate about crafting phenomenal products and delivering real value for our users.
You'll play a meaningful role in:

The Team
The Engineering team is the largest team in Jora with more than 30 engineers. The team is split across the four main domains of aggregation, candidate, employer and native apps. Operating in a true start up environment and culture, we love to take a data driven and analytical approach to developing, prioritising and monitoring production features that drive outcomes for our customers.

Full-Stack Environment
While our team covers both front-end and back-end development, we’re particularly interested in candidates with strong back-end expertise. Experience in front-end development is a plus but not required.
Split between offices in Melbourne, Sydney and KL, the team values and embraces working across multiple locations and flexible working arrangements and boasts a large diversity in team members from different cultures and nationalities.
Qualifications- Solid experience building and maintaining software written in Ruby On Rails
- Design, develop, support and maintain cloud (AWS) native applications
- Experience developing systems which effectively use AWS services and infrastructure as code (e.g. CDK, Cloudformation, Fargate, Lambda, etc.)
- Experience with multiple database technologies such as Postgres
- Solid understanding of highly available systems and web scale architecture
- Experience in creating and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines such as Buildkite or Teamcity
- Uses current technical practices such as writing clean, testable code and pair programming
- Creates and maintains continuous delivery pipelines using current practices, patterns & tooling
